Concept:

Above the Rifts (裂隙之上) is a collaborative performance project by two artists from different generations, regions, and life trajectories—one from Heilongjiang, born in a traditional medicine family; the other from Wuhan, raised in a police household. Their work navigates bodily rupture, ancestral entanglement, and cultural dissonance through embodied performance, voice, and image. Embracing the fractures of language, memory, and identity, they create rituals that do not aim to mend the rifts, but to stand above them—transforming trauma into terrain for resonance, contradiction into choreography, and distance into dialogue.
