Concept:
The Maze of the Heart is a site-specific dance piece created for Windows, a larger production by Norrdans where choreographers craft performances for dancers to present behind a window in Härnösand, Sweden during Christmas.
As audiences watch from the street, sipping traditional Swedish Christmas drinks glögg, the performance unfolds as a poetic exploration of love’s journey—its excitement, intimacy, heartbreak, and aftermath—through the metaphor of a maze.
Using movement, light bulbs, and space, the dancers navigate the search for love, the joy of connection, and the pain of separation, ultimately leaving one trapped in the maze of emotions, visible yet unreachable to the outside world.
